Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actress singer and former model. She was the main female singer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. Apollonia was named an actress and singer by Prince. Through the 1980s she was among numerous artists who benefited from Prince. The actress was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her professional career began as a model actress towards the end of the 1970s including an appearance in the television series CHiPS. In 1984, she was a part of the main actress in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period of time, he changed her name.) Then she was replaced by Vanity as a member of the female trio Vanity 6 who performed in the film with Apollonia 6 under their name.
