Antonia Lofaso
Antonia Lofaso's cooking is an invitation to explore the depths of her cooking. Her food is a result of her fascination with the cultural aspects of Los Angeles, which was ignited by a trip to Los Angeles from Long Island's suburbs. The carnetas and the Cavatelli are, according to her, able to be found on the same menu. Her sensibility is always evolving. But what remains is her distinctive vision of the future while looking back to the old. Inspired by her Italian-American heritage Lofaso established Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which was immediately well received. Lofaso's old-school Italian interpretation is considered one the Los Angeles' most captivating restaurants. Lofaso has been described as a neighborhood favorite who consistently delivers dishes that are authentic, tasty and warm. Lofaso worked as an apprentice of culinary experts, absorbing their techniques and taking chances. She was not afraid to do so to follow her own intuition. She was in close contact with many stars and quickly rose up the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the year 2011, Lofaso partnered along with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to launch Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. The Lofaso had found a home at Black Market. Her creative independence would be fostered by this collaborative effort. Black Market doesn't have one specific direction. This is the intention. One course may begin with potatoes chips, peppers and Dill. Then it's Korean meatballs and wings. Antonia is the linchpin of this dizzying variety. Throughout her career Lofaso has measured her achievements with her exceptional ability to connect with her viewers while staying in line with her personal style. The Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars demonstrated her capability to communicate herself outside the cooking environment. In the years since, she has continued her professional career before cameras with CNN's Restaurant Startup Judge as well as regular appearances on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. In 2012, Lofaso was a part of Penguin to release"The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Quick Delicious homemade Meals, which also recounts the obstacles she faced during her time at the prestigious French Culinary Institute, and at the same time caring for her child Xea. Lofaso says that her passion to cook is the main for her accomplishments. She continues to be at the forefront of her field through keeping a keen eye on trends and fashion. Chefletics the brand she has created has revolutionized the way chefs dress. The brand combines fashion with functionality. Lofaso's main concern is staying committed to her goals. In this regard she created Antonia Lofaso Catering. This will provide clients with an extremely personal experience.
